Market continues to gain.

South Island only offering 6,200 bales this week. The selection consisted of 20% second shear 34 to 38 micron good/average colour, bulk 75mm and longer, 52% ewe fleece good/average colour bulk 75/125mm and longer, 12% new season lambs, bulk 29.5 micron and finer, good colour, 10% associated oddments and 6% miscellaneous types. Some general gains on the good colour with stronger sentiment on the average colour fleece and shears. Most sectors operating today with South East Asia, China and United Kingdom main with support from the local carpet mills and Europe.

Average colour up to 5% dearer.

Up to 1% dearer.
