Authentico® by Schneider Group Launch
On 29th May 2024 the Schneider Group officially launched Authentico® by Schneider Group, a brand that stands for a complete, transparent, verified, traceable, ethical and high-quality wool supply chain – from farm to garment. It aims to be recognised as the global brand that enables the fashion industry, together with end-consumers, to choose new levels of premium quality comprising fully traceable and responsible wool, in compliance with a carefully structured approach that verifies, traces and brands the sourcing and manufacturing processes throughout the whole supply chain. Authentico® is based on the Schneider Group global certified network.
We had the pleasure to host many experts in the sustainable fashion area, media, clients and partners. The location could only be Verrone itself, in Biella wool district area, the Italian headquarter of the Schneider Group, as well as Pettinatura di Verrone, one of the three Authentico® production sites together with Fuhrmann in Argentina and Mediterranean Wool Industries in Egypt.
During the day our guests had chance to get to know all the insights of the Authentico® responsible wool journey form farm to tops thanks to the presentation of the Authentico® Brand Manager, the Group CEO and the rest of the team in Australia, New Zealand, Egypt and Argentina working every day to turn this journey into a tangible reality. A reality that guests had chance to touch first-hand.
The Mill Tour
Our valued guests committed to sustainable fashion had the chance to have a focused and dedicated tour of our combing mill to witness the very first industrial processes the Authentico® wool goes through once it gets to our premises as greasy wool, straight from farms in the different countries of origin. Walking through our scouring and combing lines, each guest learnt about the different qualities of wool, the processes which are necessary to achieve beautifully made wool tops and all the challenges and opportunities of having a vertically integrated supply chain from farms to tops in terms of sustainable and certified processes, traceability and quality management.
They took advantage of the presence of our highly qualified experts to ask any type of question and have a detailed overview of what it takes to work with such a niche and luxury fibre nowadays.
Lunch and Networking
All guests enjoyed a buffet lunch offered by Schneider as a conclusion of this vibrant day in the company and had the chance to network with Schneider and guest experts with the ultimate goal of committing to a more transparent supply chain as the base for any solid, reliable and responsible fibre sourcing, connecting the very beginning with the very end of the supply chain.
