South Island only selling today with 8,300 bales on offer. The selection consisted of 28% crossbred hogget fleece, good colour and bulk, average 75mm 32.0 to 36.0 micron, 22% crossbred fleece good/average colour, 100/150mm 35.0 to 38.0 micron, 15% merino fleece 16.0 to 22.0 micron, 11% halfbred fleece 23.0 to 29.0 micron, 11% crossbred second shear bulk 75mm good colour 35 to 38.0 micron, 10% associated oddments and 3% miscellaneous types. Widespread competition with Europe main and support from China, Australasian carpet mills and India.
