South Island only selling today with 7,700 bales on offer. The selection consisted of 13% crossbred ewe fleece shears 36 to 38 micron, good/average colour, 100/150mm, 25% crossbred hogget fleece, 30 to 35 micron good colour 75/125mm, 15% crossbred ewe/hogget shear 30 to 38 micron good colour, 75/100mm, 17% halfbred fleece good/average colour 25 to 30 micron, 8% merino fleece, 16 to 20 micron, 18% associated oddments and 4% miscellaneous types. Reasonable competition with Europe/China main and support from the Indian sub-continent and local mills.
