Market mixed.

Comment

North Island offering 5,000 bales, South Island offering 4,500 bales. The selection consisted of 12% ewe fleece average/good colour 75/150mm, 28% crossbred hogget fleece good colour 30-33 micron 75/125mm, 35% crossbred second shear good/average colour 75mm +/-, 5% lamb, 15% associated oddments, 5% miscellaneous types. Good competition in a limited offering. Indian sub-continent and China main competition with support from Europe, the United Kingdom and local carpet mills.
