Market continues to strengthen.

Comment

North & South Island selling today with the North Island offering 5,145 bales and the South Island offering 5,000 bales.

The selection consisted of 47% crossbred fleece good to average colour, 75/150mm, 10% hogget fleece, 18% crossbred second shear and hogget shears mainly good colour, 10% lambs, mainly good colour, 12% crossbred oddments and 3% miscellaneous types.

Keen competition saw most lots sold with main pressure from Europe for good colour shears and lambs, and India, China and Australasian markets keen on the poorer side.

Crossbred fleece average colour up to 2% dearer.

Shears

Good colour firm.

Lambs

Good colour lambs 1% dearer.

Oddments

Crossbred oddments firm to sellers favour.
