Market steady tending dearer.

North Island only selling today with 10,280 bales on offer.
The selection consisted of 24% crossbred fleece mainly average/poor colour, 75/150mm, 35% crossbred second shears good/average colour, 50/100mm, 29% lambs fleece mainly good colour, 10% associated oddments average/poor colour and 2% miscellaneous types.
Buyers continue to compete strongly on more favourable good colour lines with average/poor colour also finishing on a positive note. Main competition for good colour was the United Kingdom and Europe with the sub continent in support. China mainly focused on the poorer colour fleece and shears. Continued support from the Australasian carpet mills.
