Comment

South Island only selling today with 8,100 bales on offer.

The selection consisted of 49% crossbred fleece mainly average/poor colour, 75/150mm, 12% crossbred second shears good/average colour, 50/100mm, 22% lambs fleece mainly good colour, 14% associated oddments average/poor colour and 3% miscellaneous types.

Main competition for good colour is still the United Kingdom and Europe and the sub continent continuing to show good support. China still mainly focused on the poorer colour fleece and shears.  Continued good support from the local & Australasian carpet mills across all styles.

Fleece

Good colour crossbred fleece firm tending buyers favour.

Average/poor colour crossbred fleece 1.5 to 2% cheaper.

Shears

Good colour crossbred shears firm to buyers favour..

Average/poor colour crossbred shears 1.5 to 2% cheaper.

Lambs

Good colour lambs 1.5% cheaper.

Oddments

Crossbred oddments all descriptions generally 1.5% cheaper.
