NEW ZEALAND MARKET REPORT
Summary
New Zealand market fell when compared to last Christchurch sale but in line with the Australian market.
Comment
The New Zealand fine wool market played catch up (or catch down) with Australia. After the falls seen last week in Australia but then subsequet rises this week, we saw the finer wools (less than 18.5 micron) fall by up to 5%. Wools 19.0 to 21.0 micron actually rose by up to 5% when compared to the last sale held in Christchurch. There was still widespread competition across the board and across the catalogues with keen bidding across the microns and types.
